Barrier Breaker

The bookshelves appear as the picture portrays no longer. I have set up a barrier of camping chairs, a kitchen chair and a stool to protect the books from Joshua the Ripper, but the barrier proved insufficient when Joshua crawled his way through the bars underneath the chairs to grab a book or DVD. I then secured the cracks with pillows. Although the barrier has now stood the test of time, time also means growth in young Joshua the Ripper and eagerness to climb and...persevere.

Family Move to Texas

This picture was taken in Utah during the Wright Family reunion in early July. Countless changes have happened since then. In general, if you really want to know how much change has happened, just look at your children. Joshua is not only crawling , but also walking along furniture, clapping and talking more than ever. He smiles as he listens intently to nursery rhymes and music. We're living in Texas for medical school. The area is beautiful and rainy, and I find the lightening and thunder calm and soothing. It's been a while since I've been in a place that doesn't need sprinklers. Medical School is difficult, and tests are coming up this week. Hopefully nothing will happen that love, prayers and 3 lbs of candy can't fix.

Food Glorious Food

This photo marks the first time that Joshua ate solid food (notice who's smiling and who is not). Like most beginnings, he tried maybe an eighth of a teaspoon of rice cereal and the rest was thrown away. Now, he enjoys rice cereal, and we've moved on to oatmeal. Like his peers/friends at church, sweet potatos is his favorite. Green beans is his least favorite although he found eating chicken quiet weird. Oh, the adventures with food!
